Just to add one more confirmation that the Holden slumped over definitely has smoke coming from the hole, the ceiling fan brushing him and various shadows, but definitely no wires.

I would never buy the fake scene of Deckard going to get his hand fixed anyway. If it was that easy to determine someone as a replicant, the Blade Runners would use that same technology.

As far as I remember being 12 at the time the movie was made public Holden was alright as long as noone unplugged him. I don't remember any scene of Holden being cut short and having numerous copies of the film there seems to be no evidence of any scene being cut short. I don't doubt that this may be true seeing that there are so many rumored versions of the movie.
Who knows for sure seeing that Deckard was rumored to be a replicant himself. What better way to search out replicants than to send in a machine that knows what it is looking for. Maybe Holden wasn't quick enough and got dropped before he could get the upper hand on Leon. There are so many variables as to what could have happened and what did happen, who will ever know?

This is for Rollins:

The scene that's being discussed is where after Holden gets shot.

The 'Hospital' scene where Deckard visits Holden was shot but dropped from the both official releases of the movie. If you haven't seen it try getting hold of a copy of the documentary "On the edge of Blade Runner" made by Channel 4, a TV channel here in the UK - they show the cut scene in it's entirety. Alternatively, I think www.brmovie.com may have a downloadable mpeg of the scene.

Actually, I've just found some more of your posts - you have got 'Future Noire' so you probably already know this.

Oh well, someone else might find that bit of info useful. :)
