Does anyone have any ideas as to how Blade Runners are paid?<BR><BR>Are they paid a base salary, plus a bounty (amount of bounty may or may not vary from replicant to another) for each replicant they retire?<BR><BR>Are they only paid bounty money? Are they only paid a salary?<BR><BR>Also, since replicants are illegal on earth, I don't imagine that there's always steady work for Blade Runners. Do they ever perform other law enforcement duties?

In DADoES it established that they get a bounty for each rep they retire, so i would assume what makes people want to be BRs is the bounty money, otherwise they probably get paid the same as any other cop.

I get the impression that life among the ranks of the patrol policemen is rather rough. Perhaps being able to escape these harsh conditions and being able to work alone, more or less, is another motivation for cops to pursue promotion to Rep Detect.

In DADOES, Pris says to Isidore, that the bounty hunters receive standard salary, but it is keeped low in order to motivate the hunters to do their work. <BR>Moreover, they receive standard 1000 bucks retirement bonus for each rep. Deckard retired five or six N6 reps in the book, so he could afford to buy real animal instead of the electric sheep - a black goat. <BR>

Funny! At first glance I thought this topic said "Blade Runer PLAY"! <BR><BR>Right now I'm writing from this big internet cafe in Times Square, NY (Home of all the Broadway shows and plays). I can just picture it now...<BR><BR>"Blade Runner: The Musical"!<BR><BR>Can't you just picture Deckard and Roy singing to each other during the final chase scene? lol!!!<BR><BR>

This is useful to me. I'm starting up a Forum Blade Runner rpg game on another forum, might start it up here if anyone's interested and I was wondering the same thing. I knew they were paid bounty per retirement, just wasn't aware how much.
