Unsolved Mysteries of Blade Runner

What sort of questions come to mind regarding the Blade Runner universe?

Mine: what was Zhora's task before she was retrained?

What are C-beams?

If two spinners are flying one atop the other in the same direction, and the bottom one wants to go up and the top one wants to go down, who has right-of-way?

Obviously, I need a minute to think of a real mystery... :P

Why is Roy the only replicant with a last name?

Leon's last name is Kowalski, as heard in every version of the film but reinforced further in The Workprint and now The Final Cut.

You also get to learn a little bit more about Zhora's background in the Deleted and Alternate Scenes. Same with Leon and Roy.

And ever wonder what Deckard's wife looked like? You're going to find out.

Actually, that was spoiled months ago by The Digital Bits. But that's just the tip of the tip of the tip of the very tippy top of the biggest iceberg you've ever seen.

Way ahead of you. Already looking for the right one. What's interesting is that the image in question is already in every version of the film. It's just very hard to spot.

Not according to the computer read-out. Same with Leon. The only one with a last name listed is Roy.

When were replicants made illegal? From what I can tell, the Nexus 6 was not known among the Blade Runners until after Deckard retired yet the off-world mutiny was caused by them.

I believe that the opening crawl was written later by another person (I'm sure someone here can correct me if I have it wrong) so it introduces this little inconsistency. In another topic Centauro suggested that this problem could be fixed by changing it to "Nexus combat team", leaving out the generation, so we could avoid these problems (Deckard/police not familiar with the model that caused the ban etc).

I read that the original reason Roy's team were to be retired was that they had gone rogue, it had nothing to do with Replicants being illegal/banned on Earth.

With the Final Cut correcting all the little goofs in the film, you'd think they would've corrected that if it was mistake.
