Blade Runner and Genesis

I'm sure many of you have seen this before, but for those who haven't, it's a real treat. It's the video for Genesis's Tonight Tonight Tonight. Those guys must have been big Blade Runner fans! I still can't tell if some of these shots are outtakes from the film, or recreations. Enjoy! :)

I'm completely certain those are all recreations.

Phil Collins: The Cabbage Patch Kid of 80's music.
I used to call him that back then `cause those dolls looked just like him... or vice versa.
Don't get me wrong, I was a big Genesis fan. Saw the ABACAB tour in `81 and Phil many times after he went solo. Never saw Genesis with Peter Gabriel fronting the band, though. :(

Anyway... completely forgot about this video, and never made the BR connection back then. (everything emulated BR back then, though.) It's hard to believe just how BR-esque it is. I remember the Michelob beer commercial with this song.

I wonder who the Director was. There's your real BR fan, right there. =D>

I loved early Peter Gabriel Genesis, but most of the Phil Collins stuff never did it for me. I saw Peter on his 'So' tour, great show. Great find on that video. Some of those look like they might as well have been cut from the film for sure, especially in the Bradbury lobby. The rest looks Like recreations for sure. Awsome!
