Favourite Vangelis (Blade Runner) Song

Listen to Vangelis Blade Runner soundtrack while sitting on a train and then waltzing slowly out among the people is probably the closest live-Blade Runner experience I had. I also recommend Jean Michel Jarre and if you are looking for something "harder" I reccomend Bjorn Lynne (multi-instrumentalist) and Chris H?elsbeck (gamecomposer) and some among Laserdance (German synthdance group), Kraftwerk and c64 SID remixes are great.

My favorite would be the Blade Runner Blues, too. That in a soundtrack full of awesome songs, making the choice hard. 'One more kiss, dear' comes in second place.

i think, hands down, its all going to be blade runner blues. but which version? the vangelis or the frank klepacki game version or the orchestrated version? or even the extended esper edition?

i prefer the extended esper edition over them all. not a big difference from the original, just about a minute or two more of music in the end.

As a youth, I enjoyed the End Titles (simpler times).

A little later on, it was Blade Runner Blues.

Today, it's the Main Titles and Prologue. IMO, it is among the finest pieces of music to set the tone of a film without overpowering the visuals.

"Blade Runner Blues" runs a close second in my list.

'Course, one of my most favorite pieces of music associated with Blade Runner is "If I Didn't Care"; it didn't even make it into the final cut of the film (and I don't care much for what Vangelis came up with as a substitute).

The Ink Spots' classic song becomes deeper when the lyrics are taken in context of the film. But that's off topic.

I did "really" mentioned Memories of Green as no# 8 on my list, if you look "really" close.

I "really" apologize for the "hostility", Memories of Green is a beautiful track in a radical way. Do you prefer the orchestral version or the original version?
