Beautiful... when finished, someone could make the "replicant Deckard" spinning head and specs.

Very impressive - what's in modelled in? Looks like wings 3D which is what I 'dabble in' from time to time:

My Wings Gallery

I'm just a novice 3D modeller - I wish I could spend more time on it and get as good as you :D

One day I really must find the patience for this sort of work.

Treybor, the truth is I'm not in the same league as you guys - I've already had to let Patryk down with the CGI movie he's making. I have good intentions, but not the freetime or the tools to make a significant contribution.

I'm amazed at the quality of all the projects being worked on and hope I can do something in the 'Blade Runner' arena myself (probably be a screen-saver or mini-game) - my skills are in programming - any 3D work I'm doing from now on will be low-poly modelling for future games and demos.

There is a vehicle that appears in Blade Runner several times that no-one appears to have modelled for their CGI movies - can anyone tell me which one it is and where it appears in the movie (just for fun, no prizes)?

Cool! Freelance or full-time programmer?

Nope - it's in the movie several times - in both versions...

...and it's right under everyone's noses but they just don't realise.

BTW, if anyone's got any low-poly vehicles they want to put in a screen-saver, let me know. I'd love to do the Hade's scape in realtime with sound effects. That would make a cool screen-saver..

It's the 'opening cut' spinner - this is also known as the 'lobster' spinner and actually appears in several scenes in the movie.

Confusingly, it can be seen leaving Tyrell's building after Deckard VK's Rachel - you automatically think it's Gaff's spinner with Deckard in it, but it's not.

Have you got any reference pics for it? I have one pic from the Japanese Doko' book and a larger version of the same from a Japanese cinema brochure...
