yeah, star trek elite force 2, i saw that, i was pretty impressed with it. i only saw it in a game review tv show, which they gave it s 2 out of 5 (stars). i hate that show now. they rate games based on popularity, but this isnt a forum about x-play.

well, if i can snag a copy of GTA or Vice city and some modding tools, ill think about it. im gonna check out amazon.com for GTA if its still around and order a copy.

THX, i agree about X-Play. What really annoying is that while they rate games based on popularity, they also dont never give truly shitty games 1 out of 5 or 0 out of 5.

I thought it was absurd they game EF2 that score, since i have played a lot of the pop crap that gets higher ratings.

Of course the only reason to watch that POS is Morgan Webb.

morgon webb...yes !!!
about x-play though. although elite force 2 look slike the best star trek game out, they gave it a 2 out of 5...WHY !!! the graphics rocked, the gameplay looked good, good NPCs, WHY ?! "because they were using the quake 3 engine which is a little outdated" !!! BAD REASON !!! although it may be old, its not bad. it still produces excelent games.

also, they gave star wars galaxies a 2 out of 5 because they werent star wars fans.

lol@ me for saying "dont never". Im not that fuckin rural.

The other thing that really bugs me is that with most games they say they are not "inovative". Well, if the gameplay is solid and i am having fun it doesnt have to be inovative. Id rather play a good game that has been done before than a shitty one that is trying to break new grounds.

About galaxies, i cant fault them there because from everything i hear it was a massive disappointment (cant comment personally because i dont play MMO)

Anyone who may be embarking on creating a 3d BR project might want to check out the above.

Also worth mentioning is the fact that there is software available that can extract movies, scenery, sounds and objects from the Westwood game Command and Conquer - Red Alert. This also works on the Westwood BR game. I had it briefly and was able to play all the movies and sounds and explore the artwork in detail. I suspect thats what the chap who made the Esper, in the above link, used. If i can find it again ill post a link.
You prolly all know this stuff anyhow.
