Ridley and Tony Scott's "Numb3rs"

I am surprised no one here has mentioned the new TV show by Ridley and his brother. It is on now and so far it is very CSI like.

Kinda funny how that show sounded completely unappealing to me until now when you said it was developed by Sir. Scott.

Eh, hell with it, It'll still probably be crap... there are enough shows trying to cash in on the morbid CSI formula. Sorry Ridley, try again next time...

Well it was actually pretty good. I expected the concept to be more preposterous. It was actually pretty realistic how it used math to solve the crime. It had a good cast as well with Rob Morrow who played "Joel" from Northern Exposure, Judd Hirsch from "Taxi"and Peter MacNicol from "Dragon Slayer", "Ali Mcbeal" and "Ghost Busters 2" of course. I have never seen the other main actors(David Krumholtz, Sabrina Lloyd) in anything before, but I am sure they will look good on magazine covers. I felt the chemestry between them to be a little weak, but that is usually true with most pilots before they get their characters better fleshed out. It won't be able to escape comparisons to "CSI", but I found it to be more realistic actually, and did not take the huge jumps in logic as that show does. Unfortunately it's similarities will prevent it from awing anybody with it's origionality. there are already 3 CSI shows and other copies on TV so there is probably not room for one more.

Yeah, I asked around today for opinions and I heard it was pretty neat... I try not to judge before the fact so, whenever it airs again I might see if I can catch it... I rarely watch TV but... if Ridley's involved then it can't be that bad...

glad to hear it is decent, looked like just another gimmick show.
