General Questions

Last night I decided that I'm going to write a short Blade Runner fan-fiction. I had some general enqiries I had to make about some parts of the Blade Runner world before I worked too much of the details out, but of course I've forgotten all of these questions except for one. :)

In this picture of the police spinner, I've circled two parts of which I'd like to know their formal names, if there are any.

The parts at the front of the spinner, are they just to house the ground wheels, or do they serve some purpose in weighting or otherwise helping the spinner's flying capability?

As for the parts at the back, I remember from pictures in the game that there were semi-circle shapes here that faced forwards and upwards with a light running along along the 'flat' side. What are these called, and what do they do?

Matthew,

The forward section you marked is the rotating cover that protects the forward wheel well while the spinner is in flight mode. It also houses the exterior headlights.

The aft section you marked houses the rear wheel and the real VTL thrusters.

For the actual names, I'd have to look in my Spinner dokuhon book when i get home.
