NASCAR ad spoofs BR

I just saw one of the new NASCAR ads on FX that was an obvious Blade Runner spoof. It has a chase scene down a neon lit, rain soaked futuristic city street between a shirtless big guy and a trenchcoat wearing nascar driver that even climbs over a taxi cab. I am looking online to see if I can find more info on it. In the end the trenchcoat wearing driver defeats the big guy who turns out to be an android or cyborg, and then suddenly a large number of identical androids apear...with the tagline "one against 52(?)"

What's (a) NASCAR? Do you think the ad may be online somewhere?

That's sad, it sounds really interesting.
But anyway - what is a NASCAR?

Here we are Folks!

X1 FX has completed work on ?Knights, Cyborg and Sea Raiders,? a commercial campaign for NASCAR on Fox via Cliff Freeman & Partners, along with HSI Productions.

The trio of commercials directed by Joseph Kahn, features three NASCAR drivers ? Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Jimmie Johnson performing on green screen stages and were later composited into the cinematic spots. Jeff Gordon is a swashbuckling hero defending his ship in stormy conditions. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a knight in shining armor, wielding his sword against a medieval army. Jimmie Johnson is featured in an elaborate futuristic chase scene, fighting against cyborgs. Each driver battles against 42 attackers, which signifies the number of contestants in a NASCAR race.

During the short post production schedule, VFX Supervisor Mark Larranaga and his team of artists composited the NASCAR drivers into their respective scenes. In ?Knights? Flame artist Michelle Steinau replicated solders, as well as added fire, smoke and snow elements. CG arrows and fireballs were additionally composited.

?Cyborg? features the creation of futuristic backgrounds to match the original cinematography. The opening shot was a set extension to accommodate the camera move, which was completed by digital artist Oliver Hotz. (cleanbreak)

?Sea Raiders? has several sky replacements and practical water elements composited into the footage. Larranaga enlisted the CG team of Barbed Wire FX to work on the flying cars in ?Cyborg? as well as the CG pirate ships and water in ?Sea Raiders.? Larranaga states, ?Joseph Kahn was very hands-on up until delivery of each spot, which helped ensure his vision was depicted in the end.? The digital artists used Maya and Lightwave for several of the CG elements in each spot. Compositing was completed in Flame. Spots began to air on Thanksgiving and will run through February 2005.

Cheers!
