I saw the Ennis-Brown House in a pop video the other week, but I didn't pay attention to the band's name - anyone else seen it (the pop video, that is)?

I remember seeing a Ricky Martin video earlier this year that was filmed in that house--a slow love song. I'm not a Ricky Martin fan, but I watched the entire video just because of the house!

I actually went to the Ennis-Brown website - it mentions the Ricky Martin thing in the film history section - but the last entries are for 1998 - this video has only just come out (I think) and it has some teen band strutting there stuff (very much like any other teen band)...

I'm pretty sure it was a British docu-soap band called S Club 7. Too bad it had to be such a lousy band, but it was nice to see that smooth building in detail.

I've actually been to the Eniss-Brown house here in Los Angeles. It's funny, I went with expectations of recognizing Deckard's apartment and such, but the only thing I could really discern as being in the movie was the lobby area, which is actually where the elevator scenes in Deckard's apartment were filmed. The actual apartment, I believe, was simply a set designed after the Ennis-Brown style, complete with the brick designs exclusive to this house. They actualy had a dog house and a small cat house in the yard made up of discarded movie-set casts of said bricks! Quite a bit of the building's exterior has been damaged and was in the process of being renovated at certain spots, while some areas looked untreated with cracks and bricks that have fallen away strewn across the side of the hill it resided on. Man, I really wanted to snag one of those bricks that make up the unique facade/walls of the place...though they are extremely heavy and the place is surrounded by a fence...

I can confirm that the most recent music video I've seen using the house is "S Club 7" - the song isn't very interesting, but in the video, they do go all around the house, so you get a really good look at it.

Deckard's actual apartment was a set, but some of the real house was used, such as in the balcony scene.

It seems the ennis house "bricks" show up more and more all the time. I was watching MTV one day and a set(not from a video) they had had columns made up of replica ennis bricks....and in an episode of farscape had "john" running around in a maze made up with Ennis bricks...not to mention the house being used in the TV series Buffy The Vampire Slayer as Angel's crypt( A highly recomended show by the way...coming from a new convert that used to think I was too cool to watch the show)

its all about the house!!!!!!!!

but seriously, which part of it was actually filmed when Deckard leans out to get a quick glance of the street below it may have been the balcony facing the pic but from what ive seen in the past i think it might have been the rear.

anyone know??
