Symbolism

Hey guys,
I was wondering what your thoughts on symbolism in Blade Runner were, in relation to 'in the wild' or 'nature'? I know that the film can be interpretated as each individual character representing a certain animal (eg: roy as a wolf, zhora as a snake), but I was wondering if there was anything else you guys would know about...?
Thanks

Natural symbolism, hmm?

Some people claim that Deckard's blaster has an interesting falic shape.

Uh, xcuse me. *giggles and blushes as the gauge on VK machine went nuts*

I know there are articles on this "thought" somewere...I remember reading about it once before. I looked in both Future Noir and the BFI modern film classics briefly and couldn't find anything. I say do some google searches...

My thought on this would be that since there are no "living natural" animals left. Replicants and even people begin to fill in the roles. I.E. Beasts of burdon (as replicants) and disposable life. Replicants being either domestic or in the case of the escaped nexus6 wild animals.

I know somewere the is a list on one of the sites to which animal each character is related to. If i find it I will post it.

Thanks a lot for replying mate, I really appreciate it. The replicants as beasts of burden is a great point. Thanks again

I have one.... at the beginning of the movie, the eye. I think it is Holden's eye....but I thought that it could symbolize "The All Seeing Eye". This symbol is used in various organizations around the world and it is even on the ONE DOLLAR BILL. Plus the building structure of the Tyrrell Corp. HQ resembles a pyramid. Look at the ONE DOLLAR BILL....the All Seeing Eye is atop the pyramid. Interesting I thought.
