There is a Deus Ex movie going into production.

Go to google and search: deus ex movie

P.O.S !!! I was just writing a Deus Ex movie screenplay based on the game, and here they are, already making a movie !!! I was already like 50 pages into the script !!! DAMN !!!! Ill bet there screenplay wont be as good as mine(my first).

for example, look at terminator 3:armageddon, and look at the REAL T# movie coming out, its nothing like the fan-made movie, and IMHO, i think the fan-made screenplay is way way better. it actually explains lots of thing like why the terminator is german, why the why there even is a terminator 3, and why cyberdyne still exists, things like that.

Any way, this is way off topic of blade runner.

i want to be a Movie Director/Screenplay writer, i was out of ideas without copying blade runner, so i decided on dues ex...but forget that idea...

the T3 scripti was refering to was the unofficial fan-made script, which was, IMHO, would have been the BEST terminator movie our of all 3, that is, IF the fan script was made into the movie, which it isnt.

i have been looking for a t3 script, but cant find any. i can get you the website to the fan-made script, and if not that, i have a .txt copy of i somewhere (on one of my many hundreds of backup CDs, lol)

Well, ya.. I'm really curious how can a DX
movie look... Will it come out before the DX2 release? I guess it won't...

*DROOLS*

_________________
"We need ya, Deck!" Blade Runner Insight Forum

[ This Message was edited by: BR796164 on 2003-02-17 10:33 ]
Yes, I'd been trying to reach the fanmade script, but I can't. I think maybe the studios found a way to take down the websited that hosted it, since the release of the official movie is closer, to avoid comparations if people doesn't like it.

If it doesn't bother you, please find your txt copy and send it to me.

I am so excited! I love Deus Ex, and can't wait for the movie! I think they are going to do this the way they did the Lara Croft movie, make it as much like the game as possible, but yet have a coherent story line. I am just wondering who will play J. C.? If it was 20 years ago I'd say Arnold but he's too old now. Any ideas?
I read in a DX forum something about Eminem playing JC (pfff...!), but probably they'll pick Vin Diesel, or someone alike. But I have greater expectations about the Deus Ex 2 game: unfortunately, the movie adaptations of PC or console games are rather bad, because they have too much characters (DX), or because they have just one (TombRaider).

Maybe for DX they are going to put a lot of Matrixlike F/X, so they can show the Augmentations working, but the story will be significantly reduced and simplified, perhaps focusing in a plot that leads to a enindg about JC versus another Nanoaugmented equally empowered agent. Also, I don't think they are going to show a stealth oriented agent, but a shoot'em all.

_________________
Revel In Your Time

[ This Message was edited by: Centauro on 2003-02-22 04:35 ]

Young Arnold as JC? LOL, why not - that would be no challenge for him as Arnold's acting greatly matches JC's expression - stone face and three voice tones (neutral machine-like, pseudo compassionate and macho-like threatening.)

_________________
"We need ya, Deck!" Blade Runner Insight Forum

[ This Message was edited by: BR796164 on 2003-02-24 08:49 ]
well, IMHO, i dont think they should get anyone like Bruce Willis or vin deisel (a gasoline ???) or eminem (YUCK!!!)

i dont think they should get anyone famous. Titanic was a good movie, up to the part where Leo. Dicaprio came in. People will only see the movie cause' "my fav. actors in it" and not b/c they like the game.

George Lucas tried to stay away from well known actors, which is why he got the crew he did. Ewan, not very well known, Liam, also not well known, and Jake lloyd.

IMHO, they should get the exact same people who did the game voices to do the movie. the voice acting and music people really adding a lot to the game, and will do the same for the movie. and, IMHO, try and stay away from famous people when finding actors.

i might be crazy, i might not, but i didnt really care too much for the tomb raider movie, even though im a BIG BIG BIG fan of the games. i dont wanna see DX ruined like T.R.

sorry for the hashing gyus, but its just my opinion, its not official.
