Well, I finally got around to buying the Director's Cut DVD version of Bladerunner for my PC's new DVD-ROM drive. First of all, it's amazing - I've noticed things in the DVD version that I've never noticed in the film before, despite seeing it a dozen times in the theater and probably a hundred times on VHS.

Here's a question for you - what is:
Bas 12/7
68.W Thika Blvd
South Wenton
Waytton

Is this address familiar to anyone? It's the writing on the back of Rachael's picture that she tries to show to Deckard, as near as I can make it out.

_________________
"Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it? That's what it is to be a slave."

http://www.ImageMage.com/ReplicantDreams

[ This Message was edited by: ReplicantDreams on 2002-09-26 22:34 ]

Don't think it really answers your question, but there's a topic from about a year ago in this very forum on the subject. I can't create a link to it 'cause there is no URL for each topic anymore (for some reason)
Instead, I'll just tell you that it currently resides on page 5 about 2/3rds down the page and is entitled Rachael's Photo Text. BR26354 has some nice DVD grabs

The question about the 4:3 presentation does crop up now and then. It is usually solved by turning the DVD over...

As for the Rachael photo text, the best I can offer is the relevant BR FAQ page, but apart from it seeming to be an address, etc. nobody seems to have any idea if it represents a real place in any way. Though was probably not meant to be identified quite so closely anyway!

D'oh!!!

In my glee to play my new BR DVD, I didn't even bother to read the label on the disc itself. Sigh - Bladerunner widescreen DVD: life is good....

Well the Australian DVD is definately widescreen. But i get a bit annoyed with the limitations of a Dolby Digital 2.0 track, i can't wait for the promised DTS 5.1 track that will sound purrfect in my surround sound system
