Besides Blade runner, what is the best movies you have seen? This is my personal list 1. Blade Runner 2. 2001: a space odyssey - Extremely fascinating and thought provoking. Visually outstanding 3. The Shawshank redemption - Magnificent character development and acting makes it very moving 4. Alien - A great story combined with great directing, makes this the most thrilling movie i have seen. Aesthetically carried through. 5. The deer hunter - shows the horrors of war. I've gotta add "Pi" to the above lists. Anyone see it? Just great. (I also just saw "Pitch Black", which has crept it's way into my top 50. Just a cool pic with a great, stark look). Also, probably one of my favorite non-genre films has got to be "American History X".
