Has anyone ever for fun, tried to make one of these??? (and what I mean is actually ripping apart a VW and building one) if so is there a site with links/ pics to Fans who've tried to tackle projects like the one I've mentioned...

lol. not i, are oyu going to try it? dont rip apart a perfectly good VW bug for it, use something else. if i remember correctly, they didnt use a vw for both cars, just one of them. the other one they used another frame, custom built. just add an engine to the frame (easy) and you're done, dont waste a good bug on soemthing that has a high risk of failing, unless your a really experienced car modder and workshopper.
