Blade Runner Reference in "I, Robot."

OK, this happens when Will Smith first arrives at the scene of the scientist's death. He does his dialog and then the camera goes up to show us a giant robot statue, starting from the feet and going up. But if you look not at the statue but at the pillars in the hall, the ones that (I assume) support the second floor... what do you see? The very same design of the pillars in Tyrell's office, not in stone but this time in shiny metal. It was very quick and I kind of realized this at a subconcious level so when I wanted to really look the scene changed, but I'm pretty sure anyway, though I may be mistaken.

Confirmation, anyone?

It's... it's plagiarism, not a reference!

Well, it looked too damn close to be a coincidence, IMO. The eddes were more hard, angular, but the shapes were the same....

I, Robot doesn't strike me as a movie that feels it should pay hommage to Blade Runner. From what I heard this movie is not more than a ordinary popcorn ride.

Well, yes, it's pure hollywood entertainment, but slightly over the average IMO, never to get a status like BR has got. Anyway, that doesn't exclude the possibility that the director likes BR and put a little ref.

There's a bar scene in I,Robot, where Spooner and the police chief walk past a man sitting at the counter. As they walk past, the man looks like he is removing something from his mouth. (Deckard in the bar scene with the tequila worm). The man looks very much like Harrison Ford. He stays in the background scene as if he is listening to the conversation.
Has anyone else noticed this in the movie ?

Yes. There is a resemblance between the pillars. And, yes, there is a resemblance between Ford and man in bar. However, the man in bar is eating.

Cheers.

i dont see the man in the bar being compared to deckard. i mean i see him, but i dont see a resemblance, i mean come on, LOTS of people eat in movies, i dont think it means anything.
