I found this very interesting: Out of the thousands of DVD sold on Amazon.com, Blade Runner (a 22 year old film!) is currently number 143 on their sales rank. Not too shabby... A lot of people seem to be buying it.

FYI...
The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King is currently --- No. 1
2001: Space Odyssey --- No. 1,387
Alien SE --- 2,511
Howard the Duck --- No. 29,478,643

You can't buy it on Amazon.de. I have a Japanese DVD of the DC because at the time it was the only reasonably priced version.
The DVD does pretty good on the German Ebay, though. That is, if you've got the "original German DVD - no Imports!"

The Japanese DVD isn't dubbed, but it's got Japanese subtitles - the menu is Japanese, as is everything else. But apart from that, it's the same as all the others.

Browsing amazon.de I also found this: A guy is offering his used DC DVD for 2475 EURO, that's about the same in US$. His remark (translated):
"Totally shabby, totally scratched DVD - hopefully the legal issues will be out of the way soon and Warner releases a decent version. Nothing but hope ..."
